일본을 중심으로 활동하는 여성 밴드 FLUID FLOWER의 두 번째 디지털 싱글 <Sugar High>의 공식 뮤직비디오와 티저 영상을 제작했습니다. 이 작업은 회피와 자기합리화, 현실도피가 반복되며 결국 더 큰 불안으로 되돌아오는 인물의 심리를 가볍고 유쾌한 톤 아래 스며든 불안정한 감각으로 풀어내는 데 초점을 맞췄습니다. 작업 전반에는 챠라남, 갸루, 멘헤라, 지뢰계 등 일본 서브컬처의 키치한 무드를 반영했습니다. 가벼운 B급 감성과 Y2K 타이포그래피를 통해, 모든 상황을 습관적으로 농담처럼 넘기려는 태도를 시각적으로 풀어냈습니다.
We created the official music video and teaser for <Sugar High>, the second digital single by Japan-based female band FLUID FLOWER. The project explores the psychology of a character whose avoidance, self-justification, and escapism ultimately build into greater anxiety, expressed through an uneasy sensibility beneath a light and playful tone. Drawing from the kitschy mood of Japanese subcultures such as charaname, gyaru, menhera, and jirai-kei, we shaped the visual direction with a deliberately light B-movie sensibility and Y2K-inspired typography. Through this approach, we aimed to capture the character’s habitual tendency to brush off every situation like a joke.
